Individual Therapy
The 1:1 Process
Individual therapy is the greatest opportunity to work on understanding who you are: how you operate in the world, in your family, in relationships, and, most importantly, in your own mind.
Recognizing feelings and patterns in relationships is the way you determine what isn’t working and why.
Changing What Isn’t Working
People reach out for help to change something that isn’t working in their life or how to achieve acceptance about a situation. Although they know what they want, they often need guidance on how to make that happen.
Through the process of understanding, providing support, therapeutic tools, and accountability, change can occur. Having a set of therapeutic tools or skills encourages feelings of empowerment, confidence, and strength to learn an improved way to live a healthier, happier, and more balanced lifestyle.
It Starts with Trust
The core of any therapeutic relationship comes from the trust, connection, and safe non-judgmental environment that an individual session should offer. From our first conversation by phone, to the first step through my office door, you will be welcomed with compassion and understanding into a calm atmosphere where you are free to discuss whatever is on your mind and weighing on your heart.
